About the Artist (Lindsey)

Lindsey is a highly creative and talented individual with personal experience in a multitude of art mediums, which includes 15 years of experience teaching classes to groups in a fun and educational way.

She has a passion for creating beautiful artworks in her own home and enjoys sharing her skills and knowledge with others, in a way that leaves them feeling confident and proud of what they can create! As a self-taught artist, she primarily works in acrylic paint, but has explored other interesting mediums such as cake decorating and gingerbread design, sewing and costuming, and beadwork, among many others.

Lindsey is looking forward to bringing out the artist in YOU! Her passion is to come up with cool crafts that you can make with supplies that are easy to find, and teaching you how to make that trendy thing you saw online that you absolutely have to have, but maybe don’t know where to start. Grab a ticket to one of her events and see what kind of awesome artistic things you can accomplish today at Lindsey’s Craft Studio!

Her hobbies include crafting elaborate Halloween costumes for herself and others, taking long naps with Oliver whenever possible, and binge watching old sugary musicals or true crime documentaries— there is no inbetween.

About Mark

Mark is Lindsey’s boyfriend and an important part of daily studio operations, both at the front desk and behind the scenes. He is often the person you see when first entering the studio, because Lindsey is often running around setting up supplies, and he will awesomely volunteer to help check-in guests. He is also the in-studio photographer during class.

Mark owns his own business doing IT work by day. He troubleshoots things at the studio and provides tech help to Lindsey wherever it is needed for business operation, to help things run smoothly and efficiently. He wired the display tv’s for accessibility during class and helped with countless renovations during the birth of the studio. From ordering signs, to mounting security cameras, to our website hosting and server maintenance, he’s touched it all. Literally from floor to ceiling!

During studio construction, he handled every aspect of renovation and brutal physical labor with a smile and endless positivity. Sanding spraypaint off the walls, installing new toilets and sink hardware, painting, you name it. When Lindsey was having a meltdown trying to figure out how the heck to accomplish her dream epoxy resin floors, Mark stepped in to order everything, rent equipment, and get it all done. She literally would not have been able to do it without him, a fact she will cheerfully tell to anyone who enters the studio and comments on the floors… give Mark a round of applause!

In his spare time, Mark can be found relaxing in his pool, tinkering with his own technology projects, or often wandering Wallingford with Lindsey on his arm to go and get a sweet treat, a craft cocktail or a bite to eat.

About the Studio Cat

Oliver is a very good boy cat who has a passion for helping his mom with all her crafts.

He will be eight years old in December 2026.

Oliver had a bit of a rough start. When he and Lindsey met, he had a little broken leg, and needed round-the-clock care for about six weeks while it healed. During that time they got to know each other very well and became inseparable. Their routine has always included crafts, naps, and movie time- and now Oliver combines all those things each day that he works in the at-home studio with mom.

His hobbies include narrowly missing stepping into wet paint, pushing small craft supplies under furniture and hiding them, and meowing loudly and trying to launch himself into the curtains while Lindsey is trying to record social media. He also enjoys snuggling with Lindsey while she works, which is a fantastic way to inspire her. Oliver also assists with exploring all empty boxes prior to shipping out customer orders, organizing supplies, and loves to lay on anything Lindsey is working on while blessing all of the crafts with cat hairs.

Oliver does not visit the studio when it is open to the public, for his safety. He is quite the curious little dude and might wind up out the front door if that were to happen. He does occasionally visit during inventory days or new artwork days, so if you do see him in the window, definitely wave to him! You just won’t be able to see him in person. Like a lot of shy cats, he is best loved from afar!!!

The History of Lindsey’s Craft Studio

Lindsey’s Craft Studio began in 2020 when Lindsey’s suddenly lost her job during the Covid-19 pandemic. Faced with trying to make ends meet for precious Oliver cat’s sake, she decided to draw on her many years of creative experience, and began her online endeavor. As restrictions opened up, Lindsey began to travel and offer her services to clients at home, at work, or at event centers such as restaurants and open businesses. She also appeared at many fairs, festivals and events throughout the warmer months.

Lindsey has been teaching in some form or another for as long as she can remember, and enjoys sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with others. Cost effective and FUN events are her specialty. She saw what wasn’t working with the other studio that she worked for and is using that insider information to make it easier than ever to plan events that work for every group she collaborates with, big or small!

As a member of the library workforce from a very young age, she is passionate about working with nonprofits and making sure every event is within their budget and that they are getting the most value for their buck. She knows firsthand how hard it is to provide for patrons with little to no supply budget, and prides herself on being flexible and creative about working around those restrictions. As the parent of a rescue animal, she especially enjoys working with animal rescue groups to fundraise online and provide community enrichment. “Paint Your Pet” is her favorite program to teach!

Lindsey’s Craft Studio will continue to grow, adapt and pivot— so whether your needs are big or small, messy or neat, complex or simple crafts… Lindsey has you covered!
